This screen performs an update - it does not actually import records in the normal sense. The idea is to match data
at a remote site (ie a customer location, for example), with a copy of the database stored in Docsminder. You do not
want to import the data from the external source as that will overwrite your own data. What you want to do it
reflect any changes the customer might have made to their system in your own. You want to synchronise your data with
the customer's. This is only one way, of course.
You can either import file or box data - you do this by selecting one of the tabs (Boxes to update or Files to
update), then
- setting the file to import. This allows you to point to an external file that contains your update data. This
could be data in any one of many formats - ie MS Access, Excel, etc
- running the Import wizard to load the input file into Docsminder
- then do an update on the matching Docsminder records
