- Docsminder software is setup on multiple workstations
- The database is stored locally on one workstation
- Other computers can access the data
Installation
You install the Docsminder (client) software on every office computer that needs to run it.
You designate one particular workstation as the one that stores the Docsminder data. You then share that data folder
(using the standard Windows "Share" functions) so that all users on your office network can see that folder.
You can map the shared folder to a drive letter that is uniform over your network (ie map it to F:\, for example).
You will have to perform this mapping on every computer, of course. You can also use a UNC path and point to the
shared folder as "\\somecomputer\shared data path"
Licencing
You will need to licence Docsminder to work on each and every computer.
You can only obtain a Lite, Professional or Corporate licence (no Enterprise)
