The Administration menu contains a range of functions used to configure Docsminder to the particular requirements of
your organisation. Many of these settings need to be configured just once when the program is first installed, or
only occasionally in response to changes in your organisational requirements such as the addition of a new office,
department or system user.
Organisational structure
Primarily relates to the overall configuration of your organisation's physical setup as well as the classifications
of documents generated within your organisation.
System users
Add and modify users to the system. Record general details of each user including name,
password and contact details.
System users can also, at any time, update their system password.
Box and file settings
Specify the method of generating and applying a unique identification value to boxes and files. If more than one box
size is used within the organisation may also want to specify the different sizes or update the disposal review date
of boxes within the system to correspond with the disposal review dates of their file contents.
Data import
If you already retain file and box information in another electronic format and you would like
to incorporate that information into Docsminder without having to manually key the information in, Docsminder offers
a useful tool for automatically importing this information.
The status of boxes and files held in commercial offsite facilities can also be synchronised with data held in the
program using the Offsite update function.
Maintenance
Provides a range of general program maintenance functions including program licensing, network
configuration, appearances (colour schemes), data backup, configuration of an email server and general support
information.
